Update for Steve FreemanS
Topic: Better news

Afternoon Visitation:  Today's visitations have been encouraging so far.  Up to this point the doctors have all been quite concerned regarding Steve's inability to wake up and follow commands (open your eyes, blink, squeeze my hand, etc.).   After reviewing E.E.G., MRI, CAT Scans, etc., they have been able to determine that Steve is unable to wake due to a component in the sedation that his system is unable to throw off.  They are changing meds and treating him with different meds, and pinpointing exactly where to medicate, as opposed to broad spectrum sedation and antibiotics.  This afternoon, he showed signs of more alertness, and even at one point, the doctor thought he grabbed at his hand.   I am so anxious to go and visit again this evening - hoping perhaps he may be starting to wake up.   I will post again after the 9-10 p.m. visitation.   Keep the prayers going and thanks again to all.
